Qube Events at the Queen Charlotte’s Ball 2018

Once again, Qube Events are proud to be the official stylists of the Queen Charlotte’s Ball, one of the most exclusive social events of the entire year. In it’s 240^th year, the long-standing debutant tradition was initially a ball hosted by King George III in 1780 to raise money for a maternity hospital. In 2018, it is a historic festivity where the social elite gather to engage in fine dining and celebrate. Qube Events were honoured to be asked to provide styling for the event in 2016, and again this year.

What is the Queen Charlotte’s Ball?

The Queen Charlotte’s Ball happens every year and was originally created to help raise money for a maternity ward and celebrate King George III’s wife, Charlotte, in the 18^th Century. To this day each ball still raises money to donate to a chosen charity. Organised by the London Season, it aims to teach social etiquette and cultural protocol.

The prestige of the invite-only event is highlighted by the attendance of the monarchy, who will watch as the debutantes ‘come out’ and are presented to high society. Dancing, dining and champagne can be expected until the early hours of the morning where carriages await to take everyone home. For Qube Events to be asked to be a part of the Queen Charlotte’s Ball again is an honour. This year’s Queen Charlotte’s Ball will be held at Dartmouth House, the former London home of Lord Dartmouth, in Mayfair.

The Queen Charlotte’s Ball has been an annual event that is highly anticipated year-round. This year’s London Season debutante’s will be held this weekend, Saturday 8^th September and be attended by some of the world’s best and brightest from the biggest aristocratic families on the globe.

Being one of the most prestigious events in the UK, it is important to get the décor and styling absolutely right. Back in 2016, Qube Events provided décor at the event in One Whitehall Place, and the results were so good that pictures were circulated as far as China and have been emulated for many events since.
